Over 100 years old, the beautifully-restored Casa Eliseo on the outskirts of Alajeró is a farmhouse in the far south of the island. Built on an attractive plot 800 metres above sea-level, the house lies in the middle of terraced felds. The natural stone terrace, which runs the entire length of the front of the house, offers sensational views of the south coast and the deep blue waters of the sea as far as the eye can see.
With deckchairs and plenty of comfortable seating – and partially shaded by a large tree - this is a wonderful place to relax. In the inner courtyard is a second terrace with beautiful almond trees and, with plenty of chairs and tables plus, of course, a barbecue, this is an idyllic setting for a spot of al fresco dining. The courtyard also has one of the house's two showers.
Case Eliseo has a delightful rustic character, with its thick, ancient stone walls and high windows – but it comes with all modern conveniences. Inside you will find a charming, well-equipped kitchen/diner, living room, two bedrooms (each with two single beds and a large wardrobe) and a bathroom. Historic everyday objects and pictures around the house give an idea of what life was like at the beginning of the last century and add a charming and unique touch to this immaculate property.
We recommend a rental car for this holiday destination and would be happy to send you a non-binding offer for a rental car on La Gomera.
The holiday home "Casa Rural Eliseo" is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and tourists who are planning a holiday away from mass tourism. At the edge of the small village of Alajero lies the lovingly restored farmhouse, nestled in lush greenery and original banana plantations. We recommend a rental car for your stay, so that you can reach the other villages within shortest time without much expenditure. Please note that the climate at 800 metres above sea level is different from that on the coasts - but this is particularly pleasant during the summer months.
