"Platanera" means "banana tree". And this is exactly what you can see from the pretty holiday flat "Platanera" in Hermigua. A sea of bananas stretches between the surrounding mountains down to the Atlantic Ocean.
The terrace leads straight to the friendly living room. A sofa bed, an armchair and (Spanish) TV form the living area. A kitchen counter visually separates the well-equipped fitted kitchen. A narrow metal spiral staircase leads to the first floor. Here is the bedroom and the bathroom. The two single beds (90x200cm) together make a wide double bed. The large window front with the beautiful view extends over both floors and gives the apartment a bright and airy atmosphere.
The holiday flat "Platanera" is one of three holiday flats in the house, which share the common terrace. Each apartment has its own table and chairs in its terrace area. There you can enjoy a quiet breakfast in the morning sun. The three holiday apartments "Caracol", "Platanera" and "La Cereta" together offer space for up to 12 people. So groups with the greatest possible individuality can spend their holidays together. You can use free Internet directly opposite in the bar "Gara" or a few meters further on on the terrace of the "Bar Pedro". A supermarket is also only a few steps away.
Hermigua is an excellent place to relax and as a starting point for many walks on the green side of the island. The village has a good infrastructure and an authentic village atmosphere.
The three apartments Caracol, Platanera and La Cereta are located in the same house in the centre of Hermigua. There’s parking nearby in public car parks. The house is slightly off the street and, therefore, also quiet. In front of, and next to, the house the fields are cultivated with bananas. The open view look down to the sea, to Tenerife and the other side of the valley.
The supermarket isn’t even 30m away, the nearest terrace café and restaurant only 50m away. A footpath leads down the central valley and to the beach, a walk of about 20 - 30 minutes.
At least two trails start directly from the house - one trail leads along the beach via Lepe to Agulo and from there over the red wall to the viewpoint "Mirador de Abrante". In the other direction you can take a nice hike to the neighbouring valley. Over “El Moralito” and “El Palmar” to the "Playa de la Caleta", you’ll experience a very beautiful and comfortable tour.
