From the holiday home "La Tagora" you have a wonderful panoramic view into the untouched nature. It is a comfortable and well-kept holiday home for up to 3 persons in the quiet village Las Rosas near Agulo on La Gomera.
To the Guanchen, the original inhabitants of La Gomera, "La Tagora" (which translates roughly as ‘meeting-place’) was a focal point of the community where villagers came together to discuss village affairs and conduct their business. Today you can stand on this historic spot – once the site of a stone circle – and enjoy the amazing views from the east-facing veranda of the picturesque Casa "La Tagora".The fantastic panorama ranges from impressive mountains and lush, green terraced fields out towards the sea, with water that looks even bluer than the sky!
Faithfully restored, this is a highly attractive house which is well-maintained both inside and out. The beautiful white walls with their moulded natural stone detailing and rich, honey-coloured wood – including on the open gable – are typical of the style of building found here on La Gomera. The house sits in an attractive, beautifully-planted terrace garden, dotted about with attractive stone walls and steps. The garden also has a brick barbecue and a sink which means you can sit outside and enjoy long barbecue evenings in the most glorious surroundings.
The interior of the "La Tagora" country house comprises a comfortable lounge/dining room and a fully-equipped, open-plan kitchen. The living area has a stereo, TV and a sofa which can provide added accommodation for a guest (or 3rd person). The bedroom has two comfortable single beds and a large wall-cupboard containing blankets and bed linen. The bright and spacious bathroom, decorated all in white, is equipped with a shower and also has a washing machine.
The accommodation provides a perfect base for walking and hiking paths start just a short distance away, taking you either into the National Park or to the local mountain, the Lomo del Cepo, opposite the Casa "La Tagora". Once you reach the top you are treated to a spectacular view of the cliffs and the sea where, far away on the horizon, you will also catch a glimpse of the impressive Pico del Teide volcano on Tenerife.
