A small, beautiful flat of peace and relaxation is the Casa Rural "Los Helechos" (house of ferns) in Agulo, the "Pearl of La Gomera" in the north of the island La Gomera.

The tranquility, the historic atmosphere and the loving care guarantees a perfect starting point for your holiday activities.

The tranquility, the historic atmosphere and the loving care guarantees a perfect starting point for your holiday activities.

In four different studios and one apartment (with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom), which have been carefully restored in the old style, you can experience your holiday off the beaten tourist path.

The rooms are located around the inner courtyard (Patio) of the approximately 150-year-old building. Here are the Wi-Fi zone and some comfortable places to enjoy or chat. A furnished community room with sofa, table and chairs, offers a minibar, TV and a small library.

The here presented studio "Helechos - Vista al Mar" is small but fine. Bright with a view of the sea and the small streets of the sleepy village of Agulo. The old wooden floors give the charm of the past.

The roof terrace is equipped with sun loungers, table and chairs. From here and some rooms you have an overwhelming view of the sea and the neighboring island of Tenerife with the Teide, the highest mountain in Spain.

The accommodation "Los Helechos" in Agulo is also perfect for groups up to 13 people.

Wir hatten das Zimmer für 2 Wochen.Es gibt Geschirr, einen Toaster, eine Kaffeemaschine, einen Wasserkocher. Für ganz kalte Tage ist sogar eine Heizung im Zimmer. Wenn wir was vermisst hätten, dann eine Küchenrolle. Ist aber kein Problem, weil man sie kaufen kann. Es gibt nicht nur normale Handtücher sondern auch ein Minihandtuch. Eine nützliche Kleinigkeit. Meistens haben wir uns selbst Frühstück gemacht. Im Ort gibt es 3 kleine Supermärkte. Für uns ist 9 Uhr viel zu spät. ;-) WLAN nur im Patio. Überall sind Holzfußböden, die natürlich „arbeiten“. Das heißt: man hört von oben jeden Schritt. Verena und Denis können über alles Auskunft geben, haben immer für uns Zeit und sind immer sehr hilfsbereit. Die Massagen von Denis wirken Wunder. Vom Dach aus hat man eine schöne Aussicht über den Ort und zum Teide.Die Heizung braucht man während der kalten Tage schon. Das Zimmer ist eher dunkel als hell. Ich würde das nächste Mal „ganz oben“ wählen.

Location in Agulo

The apartments of the ‘Casa Rural Los Helechos’ are located in the centre of Agulo, in a small, tranquil alley overlooking the sea and across to Tenerife. It’s mainly locals who live in the immediate vicinity which enhances the charm of the village. Just around the corner is the village centre and opposite the beautiful church and village square where ‘fiestas’ are celebrated.

There are several beautiful hikes with varying degrees of difficulty which begin from the doorstep, so one does not always have to rely on a car.

The nearest supermarket and a small bar / café / restaurant is only a couple of minutes’ walk through the peaceful village. The pharmacy, the post office and the bank are a little further down the main street. So you have everything you need in the immediate vicinity - the next, slightly larger village, Hermigua, is only 4 km away.
