Charming apartment in Agulo

A small, beautiful oasis of peace and relaxation is the Casa Rural "Los Helechos" (house of ferns) in Agulo, the "Pearl of La Gomera" in the north of the island La Gomera. It is a very charming apartment in a great location.

The tranquillity, the historic atmosphere and the loving care guarantees a perfect starting point for your holiday activities.

In four different studios and one apartment (with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom), which have been carefully restored in the old style, you can experience your holiday off the beaten tourist path.

The rooms are located around the inner courtyard (Patio) of the approximately 150 year old building. Here are the WiFi zone and some comfortable places to enjoy or chat. A furnished community room with sofa, table and chairs, offers a minibar, TV and a small library.

The here presented "Los Helechos Tower Room" is flooded with light through its many windows and you have views of the sea, mount Teide and the entire valley. A small sun terrace with separate seating area is located outside the room.

The roof terrace is equipped with sun loungers, table and chairs. From here and some rooms you have an overwhelming view of the sea and the neighboring island of Tenerife with the Teide, the highest mountain in Spain.

The accommodation "Los Helechos" is also perfect for groups up to 13 people!

In dem Studio “Vista como un sueño“ (Turmzimmer) haben wir einige sehr erholsame Tage verbracht. Das Studio bietet genug Raum für zwei Personen, ist sehr sauber und verfügt über eine ansprechende Einrichtung im Landhausstil des ganzen Hauses. Der Hauptraum ist hell, hat eine große Küchenzeile und Fenster an drei Seiten, die Aussicht auf die Umgebung, den Ort und den schönen Innenhof ermöglichen. Dusche und WC sind in einem separaten Raum. Vor der Eingangstür ist eine kleine Terrasse mit einem Tisch für zwei Personen. Das Studio ist erst kürzlich renoviert worden. Etwas vermisst haben wir eine bequemere Sitzmöglichkeit innerhalb des Studios. Im liebevoll gestalteten Innenhof gibt es weitere Sitzmöglichkeiten mit Tischen, Getränken zur Selbstbedienung und ein Bücheregal. Im Hof wird auch die Möglichkeit zum Frühstück angeboten, die wir allerdings nicht wahrgenommen haben. Die Hausleitung ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Casa Helechos ist zentral aber sehr ruhig gelegen. Der bildschöne Ort Agulo bietet diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, gastronomische Einrichtungen und eine eindrucksvolle Küstenlandschaft

Location in Agulo

The apartments of the ‘Casa Rural Los Helechos’ are located in the centre of Agulo, in a small, tranquil alley overlooking the sea and across to Tenerife. It’s mainly locals who live in the immediate vicinity which enhances the charm of the village. Just around the corner is the village centre and opposite the beautiful church and village square where ‘fiestas’ are celebrated.

There are several beautiful hikes with varying degrees of difficulty which begin from the doorstep, so one does not always have to rely on a car.

The nearest supermarket and a small bar / café / restaurant is only a couple of minutes’ walk through the peaceful village. The pharmacy, the post office and the bank are a little further down the main street. So you have everything you need in the immediate vicinity - the next, slightly larger village, Hermigua, is only 4 km away.
