The holiday home "Helechos" is located in the beautiful and quiet resort of Agulo - in the north of the island.

A small, beautiful oasis of peace and relaxation is the Casa Rural "Los Helechos" (house of ferns) in Agulo, the "Pearl of La Gomera" in the north of the island La Gomera.

The tranquility, the historic atmosphere and the loving care guarantees a perfect starting point for your holiday activities.

In four different studios and one apartment (with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom), which have been carefully restored in the old style, you can experience your holiday off the beaten tourist path.

The rooms are located around the inner courtyard (Patio) of the approximately 150-year-old building. Here are the Wi-Fi zone and some comfortable places to enjoy or chat. A furnished community room with sofa, table and chairs, offers a minibar, TV and a small library.

The here presented "Helechos - Galeria 4" offers a separate bedroom, a living room with kitchenette, a bathroom and a small balcony with a view of the patio of the house. The old wooden floors and gabled ceilings give the charm of the past. In front of the room on the gallery there are tables and armchairs to relax and linger. Also have a look at the other, very individual accommodations of Helechos.

The roof terrace is equipped with sun loungers, table and chairs. From here and some rooms you have an overwhelming view of the sea and the neighboring island of Tenerife with the Teide, the highest mountain in Spain.

The Casa Rural "Los Helechos" is also perfect for groups up to 13 people.

Besuch zur Fiesta San Marcos

Die Fiesta San Marcos war für uns der Anlass, mal ein paar Tage in Agulo zu verbringen. Wir kennen Agulo seit vielen Jahren als stilles Dörfchen und wollten uns in diesem Jahr die Feuerspringer am 24. April ansehen. Es hat sich gelohnt! Der sonst so ruhige Ort platzte aus allen Nähten und nach den Feuern rund um die weiße Dorfkirche wurde ausgelassen getanzt und gefeiert. Wir waren im Helechos untergekommen, das ganz in der Nähe der Kirche liegt. Gut, in dieser Nacht haben wir kaum geschlafen, aber in den Nächten vor und nach der Fiesta dafür um so besser. Das Apartment war hochwertig ausgestattet und hatte auch sehr bequeme Betten. Der Innenhof ist hübsch und es gab ein gutes Frühstück.

Location in Agulo

The apartments of the ‘Casa Rural Los Helechos’ are located in the centre of Agulo, in a small, tranquil alley overlooking the sea and across to Tenerife. It’s mainly locals who live in the immediate vicinity which enhances the charm of the village. Just around the corner is the village centre and opposite the beautiful church and village square where ‘fiestas’ are celebrated.

There are several beautiful hikes with varying degrees of difficulty which begin from the doorstep, so one does not always have to rely on a car.

The nearest supermarket and a small bar / café / restaurant is only a couple of minutes’ walk through the peaceful village. The pharmacy, the post office and the bank are a little further down the main street. So you have everything you need in the immediate vicinity - the next, slightly larger village, Hermigua, is only 4 km away.
